Recent polls show that a majority of Americans now accept the scientific consensus that the climate crisis is real, caused by humans, and a growing threat to our own and future generations.

But can our individual or collective actions really make a difference with a problem that is so overwhelming? Yes!

Local resident BRETT WALTER trained with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project to get answers to that question and will present solutions as part of the “24 Hours of Reality: Truth in Action” global event happening November 20.

Attendees will receive free sustainable product samples and have a tree planted on their behalf.

In 2006, Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore got the world talking about climate change with the Academy Award-winning film An Inconvenient Truth. It was just the beginning of a climate revolution. Later that year, he founded what would become The Climate Reality Project to move the conversation forward and turn awareness into action all across the Earth. Today, as Climate Reality, we’re a diverse group of passionate individuals who’ve come together to solve the greatest challenge of our time. We are activists, cultural leaders, organizers, scientists, and storytellers committed to building a sustainable future together.
