Our desire is for teens to come to know the Christian story and to make it their own. We encourage our youth to find a personal faith that will carry them through all of life’s challenges.

We also strive to make our worship community a place where youth not only feel included, but are a vital part of the total life of the church. Our goal for all who participate in our program is that they will see the church community as a body of believers in Jesus Christ, son of God, who are open and affirming of all the children of God; and that they will come to understand that through service to others they reflect God’s love.

Senior High youth are encouraged to stay and participate in worship. They often provide leadership during the service through lighting candles, reading scripture, drama, and music.

Once a month our high school youth (grades 9-12) come together during worship for a light breakfast, a hot beverage, fellowship, and discussion on some of life’s big questions.

We started going to SSP in Summer 2013 and it has become an important part of our high school ministry. We also participate in their Weekends of Service during the school year. Visit the Youth News page for information or visit the Sierra Service Project website for more information about the organization.

Our community celebrates Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Children and youth are always invited to participate in this ritual, as the Lord’s Table is open to all.

Through the lighting of candles on the Communion Table, children and youth participate in leading the congregation into Sunday morning worship.

Confirmation class is offered approximately every other year. Through classwork, service and meeting with a mentor, students experience the Christian faith as it leads toward church membership.

Christmas Pageant

Each year our children and youth participate in a Christmas Eve Pageant to tell the story of Jesus’ birth through drama, storytelling, and music.

All Out

All Out is an intergenerational dinner with fun and fellowship held a few times a year, where children and youth are active participants.
