Rev. Lindsay L. Fulmer

Lindsay has been the pastor at Ladera Community Church since October 2008. She is a Bay Area native, grew up in Berkeley, and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. She was an elementary school teacher and an art educator before attending San Francisco Theological Seminary where she earned a Masters of Divinity degree and was awarded the David Essler Preaching Award. Lindsay was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 1996. She served as Senior Pastor of First Church of Christ, Congregational, UCC in Mansfield Center, CT for twelve years. While there she led the congregation through the process of becoming a “Just Peace” church and Connecticut’s first “Green” church.

Here at Ladera Community Church Lindsay’s primary areas of focus have been strengthening the social justice and public witness along with compassion care ministries, as well as integrating the arts in worship. Rev. Fulmer has served on Northern California Nevada Conference of the UCC Committee on Ministry – Section B, currently serves on the board of United Christian Campus Ministry at Stanford, and is an active member of the Valley Ecumenical Group.

Lindsay’s partner in ministry is her elder Basset Hound, Daisy, who often comes to work with her.  Lindsay has two adult children: her daughter Erin and son-in-law Chace live inOregon, and her son Dave and daughter-in-law Rebecca live in SF.
