One Great Hour of Sharing

Sunday, March 15, Special Offering During Worship Service

Each year during Lent, the United Church of Christ invites congregations across the country to join in One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS), a Special Mission Offering. The 2026 theme, “Our Love Offering to the World,” beautifully captures solidarity with our neighbors near and far.

Through OGHS, the UCC partners with communities help fund health and education initiatives, strengthen agricultural development, and provide emergency relief when disasters strike. OGHS also sustains vital refugee ministries and supports both international and domestic disaster response, ensuring that help arrives quickly and compassionately wherever it is needed most.

On March 15, we will join with churches across the denomination in receiving this special offering of love that reaches beyond our walls. As we journey through Lent, may we open our hearts to the world God loves, and may our gifts bring comfort, dignity, and hope to communities in need. You can also give online at ladera.org or via mail.
