In the Second Hour this past Sunday, July 13, Rev. Erin King led us in exploring viriditas—the “greening power of God”—and experienced it firsthand with co-creating with the Divine our own mandalas, as Hildegard did. Erin has been studying Hildegard and creating mandalas for over 30 years. With this simple spiritual tool, Erin guided us in tapping our own viriditas. We then shared conversation about Hildegard’s Illuminations of her mandalas and discover together their meaning for us today.

In the fourth and final session, August 27, Kathan Vollrath, MD, will share insights into Hildegard’s writings on medicine and health. Colleen Crangle, a research scientist in AI and health, will discuss Hildegard’s writings on science. There will also be time to share our own experiences of visions, with the Rev. Jeff Munnis present to lead the discussion.
