Spiritual Insights From Short Stories

What: A 3-part series in which we will read a selection of short stories and talk about spiritual insights we can gain from the stories. These sessions aim to help us look deeper and find connections with one another.
The stories will be selected from the following:
- A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
- The Three Hermits by Leo Tolstoy
- The Student by Anton Chekhov
- Sister Angelica by Alexander McCall Smith from Tiny Tales: Stories of Romance, Ambition, Kindness and Happiness.
- The Man to Send Rain Clouds by Leslie Marmon Silko
- Additional stories as suggested by participants.
When: Sunday 11 am – 12 noon, March 24, April 7, May 19
Where: Fireside Room. Come to the main Sanctuary and straight ahead through the doors you will see the Fireside Room.
Led by: Colleen Crangle, Ph.D. Colleen is an award-winning short-story writer whose day job is in Artificial Intelligence and Health, especially getting machines to understand natural language.
Details: Colleen will have copies of the short stories at each session for the following sessions. At the first session we will read 2 of the very short stories together and have a guided discussion.
