SUMMARY:Peninsula Women's Chorus Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Since 1966\, the Peninsula Women’s Chorus (PWC) has become synonymous with artistic excellence in choral music. Known for its adventuresome programming and recognized as one of the leading women’s choruses in the U.S. and beyond\, the PWC is dedicated to commissioning new works\, discovering rarely performed works\, and keeping classical choral masterpieces for treble voices alive. Comprised of a diverse group of auditioned singers who share an enthusiasm for challenging repertoire\, the PWC has commissioned 35 new works and released seven CD recordings over the last ten years. \nUpcoming concerts and more information can be found at www.pwchorus.org.

SUMMARY:California Coastal Cleanup and Picnic
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to this year’s California Coastal Cleanup and Picnic!  Each year volunteers gather to clean up our California beaches.  This year\, BayLands FrontRunners and Ladera Community Church are again hosting a cleanup and picnic at beautiful Pomponio State Beach. \n\nHere’s a link to the California Coastal Cleanup information page.  You can read about impressive results from previous years on the History page.\n\nPlease join us!  Here’s the link to the 2023 Volunteer Registration Form to save your spot.  We’ve reserved Pomponio State Beach as a private cleanup site\, so it doesn’t appear on the public information page above\, but we’re official and all of our efforts will be reported and counted.  In years past\, we’ve had between 20 and 40 volunteers\, so you’ll meet some great folks.  It’s an easy morning of picking up trash\, followed by lots of fun displaying and weighing our haul\, followed by a delicious picnic.  If you would like to enjoy just the picnic\, join us around 11 a.m. at the beach.\n\nIf you have any questions\, please let me know:  Peter Sass\, peter.sass@gmail.com.  Make a difference and join us on September 23rd!
