SUMMARY:Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP) Adopt-a-Family
DESCRIPTION:This holiday season Ladera Community Church is sponsoring one family through East Palo Alto’s Ecumenical Hunger Family Share Program. The Bay Area has one of the highest costs of living in the nation and coupled with inflation\, EHP families are struggling and facing a bleak holiday season. Every family deserves hope and joy this holiday season\, and together\, we can help make that happen. Our church has a long standing tradition of supporting families in need at the holidays and your generous support again this year is greatly appreciated. \nThis year\, we will try out a virtual “giving tree” option. If you are short on time to shop for specific items requested\, you may make a financial donation here. Gift cards for stores such as Target\, Safeway\, Walmart\, Trader Joes\, Grocery Outlet\, and Costco may also be dropped off at the church office. Look for the gift wrapped donation box in the office. \nThe deadline for delivering physical gifts and gift cards is Thursday\, December 18th. SUMMARY:Gift Basket Preparation & Navigation Center Lunch Serving
DESCRIPTION:The holiday season is a time for giving\, and Ladera Community Church (LCC) is once again partnering with LifeMoves to bring warmth and joy to the residents of the Navigation Center. In addition to our monthly lunch service\, we will be delivering gift baskets for the residents and singing Christmas carols. Join us in Peabody Hall at 10:30 a.m. to help prepare the baskets\, and meet us at the Navigation Center  at 11:30 a.m. if you’d like to help serve lunch and sing carols*. \nThis December\, we’re launching a special holiday collection for the gift baskets. These baskets include essentials like socks\, hats\, gloves\, and gift cards\, offering both comfort and dignity during the colder months. Every dollar raised goes directly toward these gifts. Our goal is to provide 80 gift baskets at $50 per basket. Let’s come together to make this season brighter for our neighbors in need. Want to contribute? SUMMARY:Stanford Quads
DESCRIPTION:Modern square dancing is a recreation enjoyed by people of all ages in the United States and around the world.  We dance the Plus program utilizing All Position Dancing.  We often have an A2 or C1 star tip at the end of the evening.  All Plus dancers are welcome to join us for an evening of dancing.  Square dance attire is not needed.  Masks are optional. \n\nThe weekly schedule is:\n       Review: 6:00-6:30 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n       Class: 6:30-8:30 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n       Plus: 8:30-9:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n       Star tips: 9:00-9:30 pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe cost is $10 per session.  We start a beginner’s class every fall in October.
