DESCRIPTION:Since May\, Affordable Housing Task Force members have been meeting with LCC members and friends to collect feedback on the idea of Ladera Church allowing part of the undeveloped parcel to be used for affordable housing. At Pastor Jeff’s suggestion\, we asked what additional information people need to make a decision. One request that was repeated in different ways was how housing will look once residents move in. Will the needs of the residents be addressed\, like parking spaces\, storage\, and a place for the kids to play? So\, the Task Force has arranged for you to visit a Habitat for Humanity complex that is up and running. \nMembers of the Ladera Community Church congregation have a chance to visit a Habitat for Humanity home in Redwood City on Sunday\, June 25. The home is located on Jefferson Avenue\, the exact location to be announced to registrants who sign up with Amy Boward (amy@ladera.org).

DESCRIPTION:Modern square dancing is a recreation enjoyed by people of all ages in the United States and around the world.  We dance the Plus program utilizing All Position Dancing.  We often have an A2 or C1 star tip at the end of the evening.  All Plus dancers are welcome to join us for an evening of dancing.  Square dance attire is not needed.  Masks are optional.\n\nThe cost is $10 per session.\n\nWe start a beginner’s class every fall in October.

DESCRIPTION:Worship is the heart of our community life. Sunday worship begins at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary and online via Zoom and Facebook. All ages are invited. LCC worship is a joyful celebration of God’s presence among us. We find inspiration\, renewal\, and refreshment through song and silence\, prayer\, and reflection. We seek to integrate the arts – music\, drama\, and visual – to enrich the worship experience. Worship continues in the many ways we seek\, serve\, and grow in the world. \n\nWe serve communion on the first Sunday of every month. All are welcome to the table!\nOn the second Sunday of each month\, Pastor Jeff has a conversation with someone from our community about their life and faith journey.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the combined Ladera PRIDE parade and Juneteenth Celebration! The parade will begin at the “T” intersection of La Mesa and La Cuesta\, and will end at the Ladera Recreation District (LRD) parking lot. Fun attire\, costumes\, and dressed-up dogs are encouraged\, as are decorations along the route. Even if you’re not able to join the walk\, you’re invited to join us at the LRD where LCC will have a welcome table.

SUMMARY:Skylake Yosemite Family Camp
DESCRIPTION:Skylake Yosemite Family Camp is a fun family “glamping” experience! Skylake provides each family with a rustic bunk house\, fabulous buffet-style meals\, a private dock on Bass Lake\, and plenty of activities\, including horseback riding and tie-dye\, to keep the whole family busy. The large dining hall\, lakeside porch\, and recreation room are the social center of camp. \nLadera Church families have attended Family Camp Weekend B for years\, and some attend now with multiple generations. Weekend B begins the Thursday evening after the Memorial Day holiday. Talk to any family that goes to Bass Lake and they’ll tell you why you should come next year!
