DESCRIPTION:The Ladera Creative Arts Program utilizes the creative arts to provide elementary through high-school aged children with the spiritual and psychological tools to help them live a whole\, healthy life. Zine-making and book arts are the primary creative modalities used for this program. Zines (pronounced “zeens”) are self-published booklets\, often made by cutting and gluing text and images together (similar to making a collage). Zines have a particular appeal in that they engage children in a creative process that utilizes the art of storytelling to deepen the child’s sense of self and to connect with others. We are currently in the middle of a beginners class emphasizing All Position Dancing (APD)\, which may be of interest to current dancers seeking more experience with APD and returning dancers who want a full review of all of the calls from Basic\, Mainstream\, and Plus. Bring your friends or family\, or come alone. It’s fun and challenging\, and a great way to meet new people. No special clothing required. \nThe cost per week is $10 for Plus Dancers.

SUMMARY:Ladera Creative Arts Program for Children
DESCRIPTION:The Ladera Creative Arts Program utilizes the creative arts to provide elementary through high-school aged children with the spiritual and psychological tools to help them live a whole\, healthy life. Zine-making and book arts are the primary creative modalities used for this program. Zines (pronounced “zeens”) are self-published booklets\, often made by cutting and gluing text and images together (similar to making a collage). Zines have a particular appeal in that they engage children in a creative process that utilizes the art of storytelling to deepen the child’s sense of self and to connect with others. Making zines requires no previous experience or skill level. \nThis is a non-religious\, creative arts program. Children from all faiths (or no faith) are welcome and celebrated!
